No workouts are coming in
Duskline can only read what Apple Health already holds. Check Settings, then Health, then Data Access & Devices, and make sure Duskline is allowed to read Workouts and Workout Routes. Bringing in your history once is also what arms the automatic arrival, so if nothing has ever been imported, nothing will arrive by itself either. There is a switch for it in Settings.
An indoor session is missing
Duskline goes by whether a workout recorded a route, never by what kind of workout it was. A ride, a hike, an open water swim all arrive on their own if your watch drew a line. A session with no line, on a treadmill or a trainer or a mat, has no place to be put, and Duskline would rather ask than guess at it. Recent ones are in the list under Add, from Apple Health, where you pick the place yourself. Reaching further back for indoor sessions is not something the app does yet.
Does it run while I am out?
No. Duskline records nothing itself, has no background mode of its own, and never calls out while it sits in your pocket. It reads what your watch and Apple Health already recorded, when you open it. That is the whole of its appetite.
My older years are not here
Duskline starts with your recent workouts so the map is not empty on day one. Everything before that comes in with the one purchase, under "All the years before" in Settings. A long history takes a few minutes to bring in, and it keeps going while you use the app.
The map is dark and empty
The streets are drawn from map tiles, which need a connection. With no network there are no streets, but your lights and routes still draw on the dark, and the map says so. Places you looked at recently are kept for a while and come back without asking.
A place has the wrong name, or none
Duskline asks once what a place is called and keeps the answer, including when the answer is that it has no name. A memory with no name is still a complete memory, and the travelogue gathers it with its neighbours. Whatever you type yourself always wins over what was suggested.
A distance or a time looks wrong
Distances, paces, and temperatures follow your device's own settings, under Settings, then General, then Language & Region. There is no unit switch inside Duskline on purpose. If a number you typed disagrees with what Health recorded, yours is kept.
Purchases, restoring, and refunds
The unlock is one purchase, handled by Apple, and it stays with your Apple Account. On a new phone, tap Restore in Settings. For a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
Where my memories live
On your phone, and in your own iCloud backup. There is no account and no server, so a new phone restored from your backup brings the travelogue with it. For the full list of what does and does not leave the device, see the privacy policy.
Feature requests
Ideas are welcome and all of them are read. Duskline is deliberately quiet, so plenty will not make it in, and anything that turns the map into a score never will. It is for remembering, not ranking.
